Overview
Prayer Lessons (Salah Learning Courses) are designed to teach students the correct method of performing the five daily prayers according to Islamic teachings. These lessons cover the proper steps of Wudu (ablution), the sequence of actions in Salah, recitation of Surahs and Duas, and the correct pronunciation and understanding of each part of the prayer.
Learning Salah is essential for every Muslim as it is one of the five pillars of Islam. Proper guidance ensures that prayers are performed correctly, enhancing spiritual connection and fostering discipline in daily life.
- Understand the 5 Daily Prayers & Their Timings: Learn the significance of Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha and why performing each prayer at its correct time is a foundational Islamic obligation.
- Master Wudu (Ablution) Before Every Prayer — Begin with the proper method of purification; Wudu is a mandatory prerequisite for valid Salah and must be learned with correct sequence and intention (Niyyah).
- Learn the Physical Positions of Salah — Practice each posture systematically: Qiyam (standing), Ruku (bowing), Sujood (prostrating), and Qa’dah (sitting) — ensuring correct body alignment for each Rak’ah.
- Memorize the Arabic Recitations for Each Step — Study the essential duas and Quranic verses recited during Salah, including Surah Al-Fatiha, Tasbeeh of Ruku and Sujood, and the Tashahud.
- Practice Daily with Proper Pronunciation — Recite aloud under qualified supervision or follow authentic audio recitations to ensure Tajweed-accurate pronunciation from the start.
- Build Confidence Through Consistent Independent Practice — Gradually progress to performing complete Salah independently with correct timing, full recitations, and proper movements – the ultimate goal of every student.
- Start with Wudu (Ablution), The Gateway to Valid Salah: Master every step of purification in the correct Islamic sequence, understanding that no Salah is accepted without proper and complete Wudu.
- Learn the Full Sequence of Salah from Opening Takbir to Salam : Begin with Takbiratul Ihram and progress through each position: Qiyam (standing), Ruku (bowing), Sujood (prostration), and Qa’dah (sitting) memorizing the correct order of every Rak’ah.
- Memorize Recitations for Every Position: Learn the essential Arabic recitations tied to each step, including Surah Al-Fatiha, additional Surahs, Ruku and Sujood Tasbeeh, and the complete Tashahud with Salawat.
- Repeat Each Action Under Qualified Supervision :Practice every posture and recitation multiple times with a teacher or mentor to ensure accurate pronunciation, correct movement, and proper sequence retention.
- Gradually Master All 5 Daily Prayers Including Sunnah :Once confident with one prayer, systematically learn all five – Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha along with their Sunnah Mu’akkadah and Nafl (optional) prayers.
- Build Consistency Through Daily Repetition & Structured Review :Reinforce learning through scheduled daily practice sessions and regular review under supervision, as consistent repetition is the proven path to lasting mastery.
- Achieve Confident, Accurate & Meaningful Salah:The ultimate goal is to perform all prayers independently with correct timing, precise movements, accurate recitations, and heartfelt understanding transforming Salah from a routine into a deeply conscious act of worship.
